Sanjivani Singh | Legislator Leslie Kennedy's Honoree | Gold Award
Sanjivani Singh is one of our youngest participants in the DYA Program. She is an 8th grader at Great Hollow Middle School However, she will be attending her first year in high school in the fall. Sanjivani has received the Gold Medal. Her brother, Shriyans is also in the DYA program.
Sanjivani is an excellent student and works hard in the classroom. She is a talented and exceptional musician according to her teachers. She is a leader in the orchestra and is always prepared and willing to go above and beyond with her playing ability.
She has volunteered at the Smithtown Library whether it be spending one on one time with younger children teaching them how to play chess or checkers or participating in the Great Give Back by creating warm and comfortable blankets for children in need or helping to run the Commack-Kings Park Rotary’s Protect the Bluff Initiative Color/Walk Run. She even volunteered at the Catholic Health Services Suffolk County Marathon and made cards for our Veterans who served to protect our country – to name a few volunteer activities. She is a wonderful and giving young lady.
She loved exploring the parks and it opened her eyes to Long Island’s nature and why it is so important to protect our parks. It was nice to explore these parks with her brother and her family and she love the outdoors.
Sanjivani loves to improve her physical fitness and her overall physical health. She is hopeful that she will complete her dance graduation.
