Emily Franciscovich | Legislator Tom Donnelly's Honoree | Silver Award
Emily has a love for life, music, the arts as well as helping others. Emily measured her personal development in several areas but one that is a passionate about which is dance and music. She joined the musical theater to fine tune her talents and appreciation for the arts. She was able to practice the art/ dance of “hip hop”. Through this personal growth she was able to work on time management and achieving goals to be awarded the Silver Medal and this designation.
She volunteered her time with “Stepping Stone Support Group’ an organization known for helping men and women afflicted with Cancer and infertility. She volunteered in a post card writing campaign as well as worked with the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition, where her services included organizing and assembling and/or delivering “Turkey Against Cancer Thanksgiving Meal” donations to 50 families battling or recent survivors of breast or gynecological cancer.
It didn’t stop there as she also volunteered for Leukemia & Lymphoma society and Fountainhead Congregation’s mission to provide outreach to families in need among other service-based groups.
She found the time to visit our parks in Suffolk County and was able to see firsthand the beauty of “mother nature” and how many species of animals learn to coexist sand live in the wilderness.
Her endurance was “tried and tested” at the CYO Summer League where she was able to enjoy and improve her skills in basketball and tennis.
