District 01 - Meghan Erin Meade
Meghan Erin Meade was a Technical Sergeant in the Air National Guard. She has been working for the Suffolk County Department of Social Services since April 2011 and is currently in the Medicaid Eligibility Unit as an Examiner I.

District 02 - Lisha Terry
Lisa Terry, a 1995 graduate of Westhampton Beach High School, joined the Coast Guard Department of Transportation in 1996.

District 03 - Jean Platania-Littman
Jean Platania-Littman was 9 years old when WWII broke out. After her uncle and cousin enlisted in the Marines, she knew that when she was older, if a conflict arose, she would enlist in the Marines. When the Korean War started, she petitioned her father to allow her to join. He made her wait six months and then signed the papers to allow her to enlist.

District 04 - Dawn Amato
Dawn Amato is a Brentwood High School graduate and proud member of the Class of 1980. She joined the United States Army in 1981. She completed her basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

Reanna Fulton graduated from Ward Melville High School in 1997 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1998. She served on active duty as an information systems technician until 2003.

Deborah Bonacasa is an Air Force veteran who served from 2002 to 2006.

District 07 - Denise Crutchfield
Denise Crutchfield was born in 1957 in New York. She is the granddaughter of Lacy and Annabelle Crutchfield of Coram and the daughter of Perrepper L. Crutchfield. The eldest of four girls, Denise Crutchfield is a natural leader. Her mother stressed education, independence and self-determination. Crutchfield went to West Middle Island Elementary School and graduated from Longwood High School in 1976. Following high school, she completed her bachelor’s degree at Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, Mississippi, and earned a graduate degree from Long Island University in 1996.

District 08 - Ruth Welch
Ruth Welch was born in Queens in 1922 and moved with her family to Baldwin in Nassau County some five years later. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1940 and started to work with an insurance company. In 1942, right after the United States entered World War II, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Sharon Hoover graduated from Brentwood Ross High School in1979, worked at Central Islip State Hospital until 1980, and began her military career by enlisting in the United States Army in 1981.

Islip Terrace resident Magda Resker is a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1985 to 2008. She currently works for Lindenhurst High School and runs the Junior ROTC program.

District 12 - Michelle Mudge
Michelle Mudge hails from Commack, where William and Patricia Mudge raised her. On September 11, 2001 she made the resolute decision to protect her country by joining the military after her father served as a first responder at Ground Zero. After that day, she involved herself in many military, political, and athletic undertakings throughout high school to aid in her future career, including Civil Air Patrol, being a Ground Search and Rescue trainer and an American Legion Girls state nominee, and serving as a Congressional intern for veterans affairs. She was also captain of the varsity softball team.

Commander Diane L. Gardner, a lifelong resident of Kings Park, is a nurse anesthetist at Stony Brook University Hospital as well as a Nurse Educator at ATI.

District 14 - Lori-Ann Novello
Lori-Ann Novello officially joined the Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition in January 2015 and now serves as its executive director. Her mission there is to empower youth in her community to build and create an environment in which they believe they can thrive.

Donna Zephrine is a veteran of the US Army Reserves. She has had many notable accomplishments throughout her life, even before she joined the military.

District 17 - Donna D. Boyle
Raised in Western Pennsylvania, Command Sergeant Major Donna Boyle joined the United States Army in 1978 under the GI Bill and used it to earn a civil engineering degree. She served as a Field Artillery Surveyor in field artillery units from 1978 to 1986, a Survey Party Chief in an engineer brigade and as the First Sergeant of a combat heavy engineer unit from 1986 to 2003. She then served as an instructor and the Sergeant Major of a training unit from 2003 until her retirement in 2007.

District 18 - Ashley Tully
A resident of Northport, Ashley Tully graduated from Kings Park High School in 2011 and from Suffolk County Community College with an associate’s degree in 2014. She joined the Navy in August 2015.
