Pam Barclay brought her experience as a pain management NP from another Catholic Health hospital to St. Charles in 2017. Pam has been actively involved in the pain management of some of our most challenging patients, while always maintaining a wonderful rapport with patients, their families and the staff. During height of the pandemic, Pam broadened her skills and was instrumental in educating staff on the continual changes in the care provided to these patients. Just prior to the pandemic, Pam also chose to further broaden her skills and enroll in a course that led her to recently become certified as a WOCN: Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse. Now, in addition to her provider focus in pain management, she has gained a provider focus for wound and skin care. She will continue to serve in this dual role as she begins work in the new hyperbaric and wound care center.
