Prafulba "Pinky” Vaghela | Legislator Manuel Esteban's Honoree

DO16 - Prafulba 'Pinky' VaghelaPrafulba Vaghela continuously works with Latina Sisters, Flutterflies and other organizations to help women. Pinky assisted quarantine families during the pandemic providing food and groceries, helped arrange getting vaccines, and helped domestic violence victims to access needed services. She is currently the Director of New York state assembly Community Business Relation Services.

Since 2012, she served as board member of the Town of Huntington Youth Bureau Board, Overseeing eight non-profit organizations, and participates in program auditing, recommends funding levels and presents findings to the town board and supervisor.

In 2020, she was appointed to the Suffolk County Women's Service Advisory Board, She assists with identifying the needs and concerns of the female population of Suffolk County and is a liaison between the women of Suffolk County and county government. Since 2018, she has recruited for Parent Leadership Initiative Suffolk County Child Services. A community leadership program designed to identify gaps in childcare serves within the Town of Huntington.

As an Independent Business Consult, she has assisted business owners to evaluate potential revenue streams, areas of expansion and growth marketing plans. As the founder and director (2008), of Young Adult Community Services she has connected students and local organizations to serve the community providing a valuable experience. Throughout her career and life, Pinky's desires to serve and assist her community every way possible regardless of their race.
