Britney Stenos is currently a Nurse Practitioner working in the Cardiac Care Unit at Good Samaritan University Hospital. She began her career in the healthcare field in 2011 as a Certified Nursing Assistant working at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center while she was attending college to become a Registered Nurse. Once she graduated nursing school and became a Registered Nurse, Britney began working at Good Samaritan Hospital in 2015. She began working on a medical surgical/chronic ventilator support unit. From there, Britney decided to advance her professional knowledge and experience by transferring to a telemetry / step-down unit. She worked as a RN during one of the most physically, mentally and emotionally draining times in her career, the Covid pandemic.

A few years later, Britney made the decision to advance her career further and become a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated In May 2020 from Long Island University. She was ecstatic to graduate and be able to provide her patients with a higher level of patient centered care. Britney began working in an outpatient care setting; however, she decided to change gears and return to the hospital setting to work in critical care. Britney has been working in critical care for a little over a year now and couldn't imagine herself working anywhere else. She enjoys being able to use her critical thinking skills to manage patients, most of them with several complex medical problems. Advocating for her patients is something that Britney is known for in her position. She communicates effectively amongst members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that her patients receive effective care that provides them with an optimal outcome. Britney is honored to also be a recipient of the Samaritan of the Month Award at her hospital for the month of June. Britney was raised in North Babylon where she lived with her parents and sister. Britney currently resides in Lindenhurst with her husband and 16-month-old son. In her spare time, Britney enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and making memories with the people she loves.
