A Message From Kara

We are at a pivotal moment in our country, where something needs to change. Targeting our neighbors because of race, religion, culture or belief cannot be tolerated and violence against one another in the name of political discourse cannot continue. The dictionary defines terrorism as “a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.” As elected representatives it is our duty to the people that we serve, who have elected us to be their voice to acknowledge and condemn acts of terrorism. I am appalled at the way, those in positions of power and influence have neglected to take a firm stance against the terrorist act in Charlottesville, Virginia. I think it is our duty as Americans to stand together today and condemn this act of terrorism which has no place in our land, the land of the free.
