Jurisdiction

This Committee shall have jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to  or affecting the Department of Labor, Licensing and Consumer Affairs  and the Office for the Aging.

This Committee shall also deal with  any issues, problems, matters, or questions involving senior citizens at  any level of government.

This Committee shall have jurisdiction  over the development and/or implementation of any programs or initiatives for senior citizens, uninsured people, or underinsured people.

This Committee shall have jurisdiction over all  legislation affecting licensed occupations, consumer protection legislation and the regulation of pet dealers and pet stores.

This  Committee shall also consider and vote on any appointment to a board, commission, department, agency, authority, task force, or comparable entity under the jurisdiction of this Committee as well as any outside consultant which may be authorized by this Committee.
