In the Clerk's office, it is my goal to keep and maintain the most accurate and accessible records possible. I take our responsibility to be responsive and open to the public very seriously. Our minutes are verbatim transcripts of each of our sessions and we make every effort to keep this site up to date with all available information and documents.
Formal certified copies of the records that are available through this site can be requested at either my Hauppauge or Riverhead Office. Additionally, New York’s Freedom of Information Law (FOIL), codified in the Public Officers Law Section 84-90, grants members of the public a right of access to government records, subject to certain exceptions listed in Section 87(2) of the Public Officers Law. If you would like to make a FOIL request for Suffolk County Legislative records, please fill out our FOIL Form or contact Frank Tassone, who serves as the Legislature’s FOIL Officer.
Lastly, the Clerk of the Legislature is responsible for overseeing the licensing of all Ferry operations within Suffolk County bodies of waters. If you need additional information pertaining to Ferry licensing, please click the link below or contact my office.
