On behalf of Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore and Brookhaven Town Councilman Kevin J. LaValle, I would like to extend to you an invitation to participate in our Third Annual Hobbs Farm "Run the Farm 4 Mile Challenge."
178 Oxhead Road
Saturday, August 19, 2017 starting at 9 a.m. - Awards Ceremony immediately following the race at 10:30 a.m.
Hobbs Farm is the only remaining African American farm in the middle of Long Island, with a rich history dating back to 1906 when James Hobb brought his family to North Centereach from Georgia. Currently, the farm is an all volunteer non-profit where 90% of their annual yield is donated to a network of local food pantries and programs.
Please consider sponsoring this special event. Last year, we had over 250 participants and over 200 guests attend. In the following information, you can find details on sponsorship opportunities.
We are looking for community organizations who want to pitch-in at various stations along the course. It is an early morning start and we wrap-up by 10:30 a.m. Please let me know if your organization can engage.
All proceeds to benefit Hobbs Farm, a volunteer non-profit local farm who provides fresh, wholesome produce to those in need in the community.
Thank you all very much in advance for your consideration and continued support.
