Wyandanch, NY – Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory recently partnered with New Shiloh Baptist Church in Wyandanch to host his second annual Black History Month program, “A Celebration in Song,” featuring a concert highlighting local school choruses and choirs.

At the event, held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at New Shiloh Baptist Church in Wyandanch, Presiding Officer Gregory was joined by the Venettes Cultural Workshop and students from the Amityville, Half Hollow Hills, North Babylon, and Wyandanch school districts who helped celebrate Black History Month with musical, dance and spoken word performances.

“This year’s event brought students and the community together to celebrate in song with exceptional performances by school music groups from across my legislative district,” said Presiding Officer Gregory. “Many thanks to Reverend Alexander and members of New Shiloh Baptist Church for their gracious hospitality.”
