Presiding Officer Gregory Celebrates Copiague Fire Department's 91st Installation of Officers

Presiding Officer Gregory assists in the swearing-in of new officers at the Copiague Fire Department

Wyandanch, NY – Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory joined the Copiague Fire Department this weekend for its 91st annual Installation Dinner and Awards Ceremony.


The event, held on Saturday, March 23 at the Radisson Hotel in Hauppauge, celebrated outgoing officers finishing their tenures and welcomed new leadership. Presiding Officer Gregory assisted in the swearing-in of incoming officers and presented a proclamation to their outgoing Chief, Charles Fitch.


“On behalf of the residents of Suffolk County, I would like to thank Charles Fitch for his years of service to the Copiague Fire Department,” said Presiding Officer Gregory. “The sacrifices made by the brave men and women who volunteer to put their lives on the line for our protection and safety on a daily basis are truly worthy of recognition.”
