SAYVILLE, NY – On Saturday, April 27th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the Middle Island Fire Department’s 71st Annual Fire District Inspection and Installation Dinner at Land’s End in Sayville. Legislator Anker joined other elected officials in honoring the newly installed incoming officers as well as others for their achievements, including Ishan Sanal, EMS Person of the Year; Susan Kister, EMT of the Year; Kayla Parmey, EMS Probie of the Year; Vicki Volpe, Firefighter of the Year; Michael Musialik, Firefighter Probie of the Year; Dorothy Hauck, Fire Police Probie of the Year; and George Livingstone, Fire Police Member of the Year. The recipient of the Anthony Catania Award was Andrew DeSantis. In addition, Thomas Webb was honored for 60 years of service.
“It is always a pleasure to honor our firefighters and first responders at the annual inspection and installation dinner,” said Legislator Anker. “I thank them for their continued service and the hard work they do to keep our communities safe.”
