Legislator Bill Lindsay Volunteers with Community Members to Honor Veterans at St. Ann’s Cemetery

(Sayville, New York) – On Saturday, May 15, 2019, Legislator Bill Lindsay volunteered with community members and organizations in cleaning the Veteran’s gravestones at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Sayville.

“We can never repay our Veterans for their selfless sacrifice; however, we can continue to honor them in other ways to ensure their legacy lives on and is never forgotten,” said Legislator Bill Lindsay. “As we conclude Memorial Day weekend, we should continue to look for a way to honor those that made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the freedoms we all enjoy.”

Other notable community members and organizations included, Doug Marino, James Bertsch, Dan Karl, Chief, Sayville Fire Department, Coast Guard Reserves, Rotary Club of Sayville, The Greater Sayville Civic Association, Sayville Kiwanis, Boy Scouts, American Legion Smith-Wever Post #651, Sea Cadets and Sayville High School students.
