At the June 18, 2019 General Meeting, Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore recognized and presented a Proclamation to Lauren Breuer, a Senior at Sachem High School North in Ronkonkoma.
Lauren Breuer is the recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award and the Suffolk County Principals Leadership Award. She has shown leadership skills by being Class President for all four years of her high school career. She has demonstrated a true passion for helping others through fundraising efforts and extensive community service hours at both a Nursing Home and an Animal Rescue Center. Additionally, Lauren coordinated multiple fundraisers for ALS, in memory of her late grandmother, Loretta.
“Ms. Breuer is a selfless, giving young woman with a bright future ahead of her,” stated Legislator Muratore. “I was happy to recognize her efforts. As the owner of two rescue dogs, I am personally grateful for her volunteer work at the Animal Shelter. I wish Lauren all the best as she attends the Fashion Institute of Technology this Fall.”
