July
9, 2019: Legislator Kennedy and the Nesconset Chamber of
Commerce continued kicked off the 2019 Free Summer Concert Series Tuesday night
with “That 70s Band” playing a wide variety of 70s music ranging from disco to
classic rock. Tuesday’s audience had a special treat when Siobhan Townsend,
a local resident and student of Columbia University Music School, performed the
National Anthem. The Suffolk County Police Department 4th Precinct
Explorer post was on hand for a flag presentation and local businessman John
Zollo performed “God Bless the USA”. The concert attracted a record crowd from
all over Suffolk County as Nesconset kicked off this year’s wonderful series.
Legislator
Kennedy again would like to thank all those who have worked tirelessly to make
this a safe and exciting concert series. The series would not be successful
without the efforts of Ron Schneider and his men and women from the Auxiliary
Police and the Nesconset Fire Department. Legislator Kennedy would also like to
thank the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce led by Norma Dispenza.
