Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore joined other local officials and community leaders last night to attend the National Night out at the Centereach Pool Complex. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. This year’s event, co-sponsored by the Suffolk County Police Department’s Sixth Precinct and Brookhaven Town Councilman Kevin LaValle boasted over 1,000 participants enjoying the pool, games and prizes.
“This year’s National Night Out was a huge success,” commented Legislator Muratore. “The Sixth Precinct and Councilman LaValle had their best turnout ever. This is one of the best family-friendly events in our community, and it was a pleasure being involved and seeing the relationships built between local residents and law enforcement.”
