On a bittersweet Tuesday night, the Nesconset Community gathered for the last summer concert of the series. This evening 45 RPM played the songs of the 1970’s, arguably AM Radio’s golden age. To mark the ending of the summer series, Kailyn Lamb and Eve Danziger sang the National Anthem exquisitely, and Ava Rush did an amazing rendition of “God Bless America”.
45 RPM then brought Nesconset back to the 1970’s, before everyone had iTunes, and the only portable device was your AM/FM radio. They played the songs often overlooked, but deeply woven into the fabric of our American Culture. The crowd was happy to hear them play a fantastic show to close out the year of Nesconset Summer Concerts.
“This was a remarkable way to end the summer series, 45 RPM is such a great band, their music takes me back to my younger days,” said Legislator Kennedy. “I would like to thank Kailyn Lamb and Eve Danziger for singing our National Anthem and Ava Rush for singing “God Bless America” . I would also like to thank Norma Dispenza and the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce for organizing an excellent Summer Concert Series, I look forward to next years concerts!”
