CORAM, NY – On Saturday, September 21st, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the Davis Town Meeting House Society 8th Annual Yard Sale and Craft Fair. The Yard Sale and Craft Fair hosted vendors selling household goods, toys, clothing, and bikes, as well as more specialized goods such as woodworking items, art, and jewelry. In addition to the vendors, there was also a historical reenactment of several scenes from the American War for Independence, performed by the New York 3rd Regiment Long Island Companies.
“Every year, this event provides a great space for the community members to pass along their gently used items as well as share their unique talents with others,” said Legislator Anker. “And of course, it is always a pleasure to join in celebrating Coram’s rich history.”
“Our Annual Yard Sale and Craft Fair was very successful this year,” said Davis Town Meeting House Society President Maryanne Douglas. “The community was entertained by the Harbormen singers and of course our favorite pony “Ozzie” came to visit with his owner Elizabeth Loper. The weather was perfect, making the day enjoyable for all that attended.”
