Legislator Steven J. Flotteron recognized Islip High School senior, Nicholas A. Romeo, for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout as a Boy Scout of Troop 96 in Wantagh. Romeo joined Boy Scouts in 2008 as a Tiger Cub where he met his first Eagle Scout. He knew he wanted to reach the same level in scouting and worked hard to meet his goal. His Eagle Scout project was done at Suffolk Archers Archery Club in Huntington. He organized having all the bows and arrows either fixed or replaced for their youth program. He also had a shed built to house their archery equipment properly and safely as well as having their American Flag garden redone.
