Legislator Steven J. Flotteron was honored to recognize some of this year’s Boy’s State and Girl’s State participants at The Annual Awards Night hosted by American Legion Post 1738. Boys State and Girls State are summer leadership and citizenship programs sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for high school juniors. Boys and Girls are usually nominated by their high school during their junior year.
“These young men and women are exceptional students and members of our community,” said Legislator Flotteron. “Their time spent at Boy’s and Girl’s State will no doubt help them further understand how our local and federal government works.”
