Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore recently invited high school seniors from Our Savior New American School in Centereach to the Legislative Offices in Hauppauge. The visit, which included a tour of the facility as well sitting in on several meetings, was arranged as a learning field trip for students who take government classes at the private school.
“I am always encouraged when I see young people show an interest in how local government works,” stated Legislator Muratore. “Our future is in their hands, and they need to be well-informed before taking on leadership roles in their communities. I thank these bright young men and women for visiting and engaging in the process. I’d also like to thank teacher Ms. Josette Leon and Assistant Principal Dr. Wil Stelzer for coordinating the field trip."
