MOUNT SINAI, NY – On Saturday, April 25, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined volunteers at the Mount Sinai Congregational Church for a food drive in support of Island Heart Food Pantry in Middle Island. Island Heart Food Pantry has partnered with the Mount Sinai Congregational Church for over 40 years.
“I would like to thank all those who donated and the volunteers who helped make this food drive possible,” said Legislator Anker. “Working together, it is through our continued kindness, generosity, and support for our community that we will overcome this crisis.”
Those who are in need of Island Heart Food Pantry’s services can visit them at 643 Middle Country Road in Middle Island on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m. All items will be brought to the car for distribution. If you would like to donate food items to the pantry, please bring them to the Mount Sinai Congregational Church. For more information, please visit www.msucc.org.
