On Thursday Legislator Piccirillo met with top executives at Long Island Cares and brought a generous donation to Baxter’s Pet Pantry with him. It was developed in partnership with the Animal Relief Fund and makes free pet food and pet supplies available to pet-owning families in need in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
“As a pet lover and animal owner; pets have a very special place in my heart; and I look forward to supporting Baxter’s Pet Pantry again in the future” the freshman Legislator stated. The items donated to the Pet Pantry included dog food, cat food, pet treats, pet toys, and other pet related items. “The 8th Legislative District community as always was more than generous to our latest community outreach program. I want to personally thank everyone who donated” added Legislator Piccirillo.
After the Pet Items were delivered to the Long Island Cares headquarters in Hauppauge; Legislator Piccirillo joined Long Island Cares CEO Paul Pachter and his team for their first in person meeting since COVID-19 began. Long Island Cares is one of the region’s most comprehensive hunger assistance organizations, serving thousands of individuals and families in need. “Long Island Cares is a wonderful organization that helps countless Long Islanders every day, I am looking forward to collaborating with them again in the near future” stated Legislator Piccirillo.
