Huntington, NY - Students from the Gifted Hearts Charity have been helping their neighbors stay safe during the COVID-19 crisis by making and distributing free care packages within the local community. The packages, which are available to anyone in need, are equipped with essential items such as hand soap and a homemade, reusable facemask. Legislator Spencer was delighted to meet with the students to learn more about their efforts and express his thanks on behalf of the residents in the 18th District.
“So many people are experiencing hardship during this difficult time. These care packages will go a long way in making it easy for residents to access appropriate supplies to protect themselves from the virus,” stated Legislator Spencer. “Time and time again, the volunteers from Gifted Hearts come through for others in need. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.”
Gifted Hearts is giving away the care packages to residents in Northport, Centerport, Huntington, Huntington Station, and Kings Park. Anyone wishing to obtain a package can contact Charlotte by voice or text at (631) 431-8941 to coordinate a pick up.
Gifted Hearts is a 501(c)3 charity founded “by kids, for kids” by brother and sister duo TJ and Isabella Manfuso in 2015.
