Babylon, NY, October 25th, 2020: On Sunday, October 25th, Legislator McCaffrey and Babylon Village officials visited the Babylon Historical & Preservation Society to get an update on County funded projects.
On the afternoon of September 22nd, Legislator McCaffrey stopped by the Village of Babylon Historical & Preservation Society with Village Mayor Ralph Scordino and Village Trustee Mary Adams to check in on the progress of cataloging the thousands of artifacts that chronicle the history of the Village of Babylon.
Historical & Preservation Society member Judy Skillen showed the group the new climate control system, which was paid for through a Suffolk County Omnibus Grant. The new system will ensure the preservation of the artifacts so that Judy and former Legislator Wayne Horsley may continue their important work.
Legislator McCaffrey represents Suffolk County’s 14th Legislative District which encompasses the Village of Lindenhurst, Babylon Village, the hamlets of West Babylon and North Lindenhurst, portions of Copiague, North Babylon and Babylon’s barrier beach communities.
