Legislator Rob Trotta Recognizes Commack Ambulance Corps
(Smithtown,
NY)…Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta was invited to attend the Suffolk
Regional Emergency Medical Service Council’s (REMSCO) 33rd Annual Regional Awards Ceremony where the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps was honored as the Emergency Medical Service Agency of the Year. In addition, Lea Data, RN, EMT with the Commack Ambulance Corps was the recipient of the 2016 Suffolk Regional and NYS Emergency Service RN of Excellence Award.
The Commack
Volunteer Ambulance Corps was founded in 1967, after an accident took the life
of a child in 1964. It now has 177 members who respond to over 3600 calls a
year, as well as participate in many community events. “As a retired police
detective, I know first-hand the incredible work these volunteers perform every
day, 365 days a year. I am proud to be with them as they receive this much
deserved recognition,” said Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta.
