MIDDLE ISLAND, NY – Legislator Sarah Anker recently joined the Middle Island Civic Association at the Golden Jalapenos restaurant in Middle Island to thank its owner, Cheflatino Siquencia (Luis), for the restaurant’s outreach to those in need during Thanksgiving. For many years, Luis has offered free dinners to local veterans, senior citizens, and anyone else in need during the Thanksgiving holiday through the Golden Jalapenos’ location in Calverton. This past Thanksgiving, Luis extended this initiative to the newly opened location in Middle Island. All were welcome to stop by and receive a hot meal free of charge.

Cheflatino Siquencia (Luis) continued the amazing community outreach started at his Calverton location by donating free Thanksgiving meals to veterans and anyone else in need from his new Middle Island Golden Jalapenos Cafe in 2020,
