October 1, 2017 – On the first day of October, with fall weather setting in, Legislator Leslie Kennedy (R-Nesconset) held yet another blood drive. At the St. James Day Festival, Legislator Kennedy set up shop with the New York Blood Center Blood Bus. The Legislator also operated an information table, with pertinent government information as well as information on addiction and other problems ailing society.
New York Blood Center was able to collect 35 pints of blood. “The Saint James Chamber of Commerce worked extremely hard in putting this fantastic street fair together,” said Legislator Kennedy. “Life-saving blood is needed now more than ever, I thank all donors who chose to give the gift of life.”
