Summer Concerts are Back!
For the first time in nearly two years, music is set to return to "Train Car Park" in Port Jefferson Station. This year's Summer Concert Series will be three, themed, Wednesday evenings of FREEmusic and festivities presented by Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn, Brookhaven Town Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich, and the Port Jefferson Station/Terryville Chamber of Commerce.
Join your neighbors on: - Wednesday, July 14th for "Frontline Worker Tribute and Hawaiian Theme Night" featuring "1 Step Ahead"
- Wednesday, July 21st for "Ice Cream Night" with performances by BMX stunt artists from "Dialed Action Sports" and music from Port Jefferson Station's own "School of Rock"
- Wednesday, July 28th for "Veterans Tribute Night" featuring "Just Sixties"
All show begin at 6PM at the Chamber of Commerce's Train Car Park located on the southeast corner of Routes 112 and 347. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair for these three evenings filled with the sounds of summer. |
Being a Blood Donor is a Sweet Thing to Do
In addition to bringing sweet sounds of music this summer, Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn, Brookhaven Town Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich, and the Port Jefferson Station/Terryville Chamber of Commerce will also be doing something else savory for our greater community: hosting a blood drive. The drive will be held on Wednesday, July 14th from 2PM to 8PM at the Polish American Independent Club located at 35 Jayne Boulevard in Port Jefferson Station.
As a token of appreciation, the New York Blood Center will provide each donor with FREE box of Girl Scout Cookies!
Walk-ins are welcomed if capacity permits, but appointments are appreciated so call (800) 933-BLOOD or use the QR Code on the image below to schedule a convenient donation time, today! Please remember to bring valid identification, eat and be well hydrated before making your donation. Please visit https://www.nybc.org/donate-blood/become-donor/can-i-donate-blood/ for eligibility donation information.

Beachcombers Wanted
Legislator Hahn is inviting you to help ensure the only thing left behind on our beaches this summer are footprints. On Thursdays throughout the month of July, Legislator Hahn will be hosting summer beach cleanups at various locations throughout the district.
Starting Tomorrow, Thursday, July 8th, we will meet at 10:00AM in Setauket's Flax Pond to pick up litter along the boardwalk and marsh. Drift-in when you can and drift-out when you need!
If you can’t make it this Thursday, mark your calendar for next Thursday, July 15th when we will be at McAllister County Park or for subsequent cleanups at West Meadow Beach and East Beach on July 22nd and 29th, respectively.
This is a great opportunity to get a head start on community service hours!
