July 9, 2021 – On Saturday, July 3, 2021, Legislator Leslie Kennedy attended the Tunnel to Towers 9-11 Mobile Exhibit, the first time that the Tunnel to Towers 9-11 Mobile Exhibit was on Long Island.
The Commack School District presented the exhibit to the Commack Community in honor of the “9-11 – 20 Years of Remembrance”. The 53 foot high-tech tractor trailer unfolds to a 1,100 square foot museum as a poignant reminder of the infamous day in our history. The display includes actual steel beams from the towers, video recordings of first responders radio transmissions, as well as FDNY firefighters. The exhibit is geared for children ages 8 and over, to educate those who are younger, who do not know what happened on that fateful day.
The exhibit was on display on Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday July 4th at Commack High School, and will continue to travel around the United States.
Legislator Kennedy regularly works with constituents who need solid information about opening a business.
