Saturday, February 5th – Legislator Thorne took the first step to ensure his commitment to make public safety a priority while addressing the needs of the most vulnerable in the community. Legislator Dominick Thorne met with the newly appointed Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison to address safety in the district.
Immediately following the meeting, the Suffolk County Police Department jumped into action and took the appropriate actions necessary at hotbed locations throughout the district. “We cannot have our streets taken over with illegal behavior. We are thankful to the men and woman of the 6th Precinct who put their lives on the line every day to protect us. Our communities and business districts support you” said Thorne.
Legislator Dominick Thorne and his family reside in Patchogue and are proud to call Brookhaven Township their home. His public safety initiative will make sure that his family and the families of all the residents of the Seventh Legislative District are safe.
