HAUPPAUGE-TUESDAY-MARCH 29, 2022 - In recognition of March being Women’s History Month, each year I have the honor of selecting a Woman of Distinction for the 7th Legislative District. This year I am proud to recognize Michele Cayea for her work in Patchogue-Medford. My colleagues and I on the Legislature attended a luncheon where all 18 Women of Distinction honorees were recognized for their work.
Michele is recognized for her leadership and involvement at the Patchogue-Medford Library, Patchogue-Medford School District, Chamber of Commerce, Patchogue Young Professionals, Cemetery Committee, Apex Primary, and the Patchogue Plunge for the Gabby Petito Foundation. “Michele’s commitment to the people of our district is inspiring”. said Thorne.
Legislator Thorne lives with his family in Patchogue and proud to call Brookhaven home.
