The Suffolk County Department of Health Services began its onsite investigation of potential impacts to groundwater at Sand Land on October 4, 2017. The installation and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells to test for the potential presence of various contaminants was completed on October 18, 2017. It is anticipated that it will take approximately 12 -14 weeks to receive, compile and analyze testing results. The investigation is being performed in coordination with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and New York State Department of Health.
