Suffolk Legislator Tom Donnelly joined local officials and the Huntington Chamber of Commerce in welcoming the newest Batteries Plus franchise to the community on Thursday, April 28, presenting them with a County Proclamation prior to the ribbon-cutting.

Located at 169 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station, this new location is, as of now, the only Batteries Plus on Long Island. Family-owned and operated by the Lewis Family, residents of the 17th Legislative District, Batteries Plus of Huntington Station carries a variety of batteries, chargers, light bulbs, key fobs, smart home products and more while offering a multitude of other services including car battery service and mobile phone repair. The Lewis family has plans to open two more stores on Long Island in the next two years as part of a three-store deal with Wisconsin-based Batteries Plus. Also on hand at the ceremony was Batteries Plus Chief Executive Officer Scott Williams.

“I am thrilled to welcome Batteries Plus, a local business owned and operated by my constituents the Lewis Family, to the neighborhood,” said Legislator Donnelly. “With their extensive selection and focus on customer service, they are sure to become an important go-to spot to meet a variety of residents’ needs, and I wish them great success!”
