Suffolk County Legislator Manuel Esteban Sr, Esq. (R-16th LD) along with his colleagues, invited Brentwood Middle School students to the Suffolk County Legislature to learn more about local government.
The Legislators also honored Ms. Mary Beth Grizzle, who is retiring after being with the Brentwood School District for 30 years. Ms. Grizzle made this day possible when she organized the YMCA Youth and Government Club, which gives students the opportunity to experience government firsthand. Ms. Grizzle also received the honor of becoming a member of the Youth and Government Hall of Fame.
Legislator Esteban said, “Showing these young students how their government works was very special, and I hope they enjoyed their time at the Suffolk County Legislature." He added, “Thank you Ms. Mary Beth Grizzle for all you have done for the Brentwood Community and enjoy your much deserved retirement.”
