The School Bus Safety Program provides a portion of their revenue to be used for school bus safety education. Suffolk County Executive, Steve Bellone, proposed using a portion of these revenues to be allocated to a partnership with youth sports leagues, to promote bus safety.
“Bus safety needs to be a discussion we have with all of our children and drivers need to be cognizant as well,” stated Legislator Bergin.
She also presented grants to Hauppauge Youth Organization, Connetquot Youth Organization, The Little League of the Islips and Central Islip Little League.
