Huntington: On May 4th, Suffolk County Legislator Stephanie Bontempi (R-18th L.D.) hosted a meeting of the Suffolk County Women’s Business Enterprise Coalition (SCWBEC) at the historic mansion at Coindre Hall. The goals of the SCWBEC are to empower women-owned businesses through networking, education and other resources. The SCWBEC rotates the location of its meetings to different legislative districts within the County in order to become more acquainted with local representatives in government.
“The SCWBEC is a fantastic organization that serves as a dynamic resource for women business owners,” said Bontempi. “A huge part of running a successful business is understanding government; there are few better ways to do that than actively meeting with elected officials. I was honored to have these powerful women here in the 18th District.”
