BRENTWOOD. N.Y. – Legislator Samuel Gonzalez proudly marched alongside community leaders, civic organizations, and locals to celebrate Puerto Rican heritage and achievement. A slew of dedicated individuals and groups celebrated in harmony with Legislator Gonzalez, including Long Island Head Start, Assistant Deputy County Executive Olga El Sehamy, and Jibaritos with Troops. Flags of other Latin American countries dotted the area in tandem with the Puerto Rican flag to exhibit both solidarity and mutual respect.
He remains humbly thankful to parade organizers for bestowing upon him the title of Grand Marshal, and he was proud to see the community embrace one another in commemoration of the occasion. He also issues profound gratitude to Margarita Espada and the entire Teatro Yerbabruja organization for their wonderful work in preparing and hosting the parade.
