What an informative presentation Suffolk County Sheriff Toulon gave to the legislators at a presentation on the Sheriff's Office's function, its outreach efforts in the community, and current and future initiatives. Some highlights included a discussion about Accountability and Reform in the Sheriff's Office, Expansion of Training Opportunities for Correction Officers and Deputies, as well as the recent development of the Sheriff's Office Wellness Program, Community Programs, Services, Resources, and new initiatives in the works. My interns, Noah Gardy and Paul Joseph Meyers attended the presentation and luncheon with me and learned firsthand about the host of programs and initiatives Sheriff Toulon and his staff have in place within the department. They enjoyed meeting Suffolk County Sheriff Toulon and his staff and look forward to meeting many other elected officials. I want to thank Sheriff Toulon and his staff for hosting this event.
