Legislator Flotteron met with CEO of Long Island Cares,
Paul Pachter and the Chief Government Affairs Officer, Michael Haynes, to
discuss programs such as their food pantries and the First Annual Pet Food
Drive. The Suffolk County Legislature has partnered with Long Island Cares by
setting up donation boxes at several Legislator offices and other local
businesses. Donations of unopened Pet items will be collected through March 31st.

Island Cares was founded by the late Harry Chapin, bringing together all
available resources for the benefit of the hungry and food insecure on Long
Island while providing for the humanitarian needs of the community.
