Legislator Tom Donnelly (D-Huntington Station) is pleased to join Long Island
Cares and help it “rain food for cats and dogs” by hosting a pet food drive now
through the end of April.
Donnelly’s district office will serve as a drop-off location for the Seventh
Legislative Food Drive Challenge where much-needed pet food and supplies will
be collected to benefit Baxter’s Pet Pantry of Long Island Cares (www.licares.org). In previous years, constituents of the 17th Legislative District have generously donated to this annual drive. Monetary donations can also be made online.
donations go directly to Baxter’s Pantry. While
5 and 10 pound bags of dog and cat food, canned food, kitty litter and new pet
toys are most needed, all pet nourishments are welcome including food for
hamsters, fish, birds and ferrets.

said Legislator Donnelly. “Families
shouldn’t have to decide between feeding themselves and feeding their beloved
