On Sunday, March 11, most Americans will move their clocks forward one hour for Daylight Saving Time. (Fun fact: Most people incorrectly use the term Daylight Savings Time, but the word “saving” is singular). More importantly, Legislator Tom Muratore wants to remind residents to take advantage of this time to test all smoke detectors in the home and change the batteries.
“Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors save lives, and the batteries should be checked and replaced regularly to keep your family safe,” stated Legislator Tom Muratore. “Every time you change your clocks forward or back an hour, change your batteries too.”
