July 18th, 2017 – The second concert of the Nesconset Summer Concert series was held last Tuesday night at the Nesconset gazebo, it was a warm humid night but the community came out in full force to see The Stanton Anderson Band play. Courtney Sullivan, a local student, volunteered to sing our National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, and she sang beautifully to a packed crowd.
Little Miss Nesconset was back in action to help draw the fifty-fifty raffle ticket winner before the concert began. The Stanton Anderson Band, a band which has a long history here on Long Island, and has paved the way for the local music scene, played to an enthusiastic crowd. “This is a fantastic band, I remember in my younger days listening to this band with my friends. I want to thank the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce for making this possible, I want to thank Courtney Sullivan for singing a breathtaking rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and Little Miss Nesconset for helping out,” said Leslie Kennedy.
Next Tuesday, July 25th, The 90’s Band will be playing the hits of the 1990’s.
