August 1st, 2017 – On the first evening of August, the people of the Nesconset community gathered to see the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce and Leslie Kennedy (R-Nesconset) present The New Millennium Jazz Band. The New Millennium Jazz Band is a 19 piece contemporary big band that preforms new arrangements of jazz standard as well as original jazz band compositions. The crowd was enthusiastic to hear them play. We were blessed with Vioctoria Delgado a local student from Smithtown High School East, who sang the National Anthem exquisitely.
Little Miss Nesconset did her weekly duty of selecting the fifty-fifty winner. The proceeds went to the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce. “I would like to thank our National Anthem singer Victoria,” Legislator Kennedy stated. “as well as The New Millennium Jazz Band for putting on a fantastic show, I am sure everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
Completely Unchained will be playing next Tuesday, August 8th, at the Gazebo. For any questions about this concert or other events feel free to contact Leslie Kennedy’s office at (631) 854-3735, and do not hesitate to reach us online at Leslie.kennedy@suffolkcountyny.gov or facebook.com/legislatorlesliekennedy.
