Flotteron Supports Fellow Lynbrook HS Alum

Jake Koenigsdorf Foundation

Legislator Steven J. Flotteron recognized a fellow Lynbrook High School Alum, Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, at the 5th Annual Jake Koenigsdorf Foundation “Purple & Black Event held on Sunday, April 15th at the Mansion at Timber Point in Great River. Pictured with Legislator Flotteron are Commissioner Ryder and Executive Director of The Jake Koenigsdorf Foundation Kathy Koenigsdorf.

The Foundation was founded in 2013 in honor of Koenigsdorf’s son, Jake, who died of a drug overdose, to raise awareness and funds to help other addicts who are willing to do whatever it takes to get clean but don’t have the financial means to find a solution on their own.

“It was a privilege to honor Commissioner Ryder at such an event for his life’s commitment in the narcotics division where he has spent decades working with fellow officers to rid the community of drug related crimes,” stated Legislator Flotteron.
