In the early morning
hours, amongst a large group of volunteers with Habitat for Humanity,
Legislator Steven J. Flotteron passionately speaks about the ongoing efforts to
revitalize a once crime ridden area of Bay Shore. The Sanders will be one of
several families to recently become homeowners in Bay Shore due to Habitat and
its supporters.
“Abandoned homes that
were once the weakest links have now become the strongest opportunities for
first time homebuyers who are helping to rebuild the community,” said
Legislator Flotteron.
Habitat homeowners pay
an affordable mortgage, receive financial education and help build their homes
alongside volunteers.
