Legislator Steven J.
Flotteron came out to support East Islip Girl Scout Troop 2562 who featured one
of the many hand on nature stations at this year’s 9th Annual
Eco-Carnival hosted by Seatuck in Islip. This is one of the premier Earth Day
celebrations on Long Island. The event was created as part of the grand opening
of the Suffolk County Environmental Center. Since then, it has become a
favorite spring event in recognition of Earth Day, drawing thousands each year.
The Eco-Carnival features a series of hands-on nature stations, nature-inspired
arts-n-crafts, game and booths, as well as music, food and ice cream.
“Seatuck is one of
Suffolk County’s premiere learning centers featuring an eco-friendly,
nature-based fun for the whole family,” said Legislator Flotteron.
