Legislator Muratore Attends Recycling Kickoff at New Lane Elementary

New Lane elementary recycle assembly

Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore, joined by Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone attended a special assembly at New Lane Elementary School in Selden to celebrate the kickoff of their new recycling program.

The key words of the day were “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.” Students read their essays about recycling and its benefit to the environment and wildlife, and they even sang a song about the “Three R’s.”

Legislator Muratore addressed the students and thanked them for their initiative. “You deserve to grow up in a clean and safe environment like my generation did, and I applaud your school’s effort to recycle paper and plastics. Keep up the great work.”
