Legislator Tom Muratore’s Memorial Day weekend was a busy one, attending several veterans’ parades and memorial ceremonies in the Fourth Legislative District.

On Monday, Legislator Muratore attended the Ronkonkoma Veterans Day Parade and Memorial Ceremony at Raynor Park, followed by the Farmingville Memorial Day ceremony at the Farmingville/Holtsville Veterans Memorial Park on Portion Road. The Centereach Parade, normally hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4927 was rained out on Sunday.

“I cannot think of a better way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend than by honoring our country’s heroes, past and present,” stated Legislator Tom Muratore. “Freedom is definitely not free, and it is encouraging to know that our community pays much deserved homage to our current military, veterans, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. May their memories live in our hearts forever, and may God continue to bless America.”
